Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 August 2026

These terms cover your use of pre.trade. By signing up or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t, don’t use it.

1. This is not investment advice

pre.trade is an information product. Every briefing we produce is a summary of publicly available market data and news — filtered through our software and a large language model. Nothing we say is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, cryptocurrency, or other financial instrument. We are not a broker, a dealer, an investment adviser, or a fiduciary. We are not registered with the SEC, FINRA, the CFTC, the FCA, or any other regulator.

Any decision you make with your money is your own. You are solely responsible for your trades. Past performance in a briefing (moves, key levels, insider activity, social signal) does not predict future results.

2. What the service does

pre.trade delivers a daily pre-market briefing on the symbols you add to your watchlist and (optionally) your recorded holdings. Free users can track up to 5 symbols and 10 holdings. Pro users can track up to 20 symbols and unlimited holdings, plus receive additional briefing depth (key levels, insider activity, earnings context, social signal).

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

Don’t:

5. Pro subscription

6. Referral program

7. Your content

Your watchlist and holdings belong to you. We’ll only use them to run the service for you (see our Privacy Policy). By using the service you grant us a limited license to process this data on your behalf — for briefing generation, portfolio computation, and email delivery.

8. Third-party data + services

Running pre.trade depends on external service providers (hosting, database, AI, market data, email, payments, and public-social data — see our Privacy Policy for the categories). Each has its own terms and privacy policy that apply to the portion of the flow it handles. If any of those providers changes their terms, has an outage, or discontinues service, pre.trade may be affected — we’ll do our best to swap in an equivalent provider without disruption.

9. Availability

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uptime. Briefings depend on data providers we don’t control. Occasionally a briefing may be late, incomplete, or skipped — usually because a market data provider is rate-limiting, an LLM call failed, or an email provider had an outage. We’ll do our best to retry.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these terms (fraud, abuse, security violations, self-referral gaming). If we do, we’ll email you an explanation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law: pre.trade is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any trading losses, missed opportunities, incorrect information in a briefing, service outages, third-party failures, or any indirect / consequential / incidental damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us during that period (which, for Free users, is $0).

12. Indemnification

You agree to hold pre.trade harmless from any claims arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your trading decisions.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which pre.trade is operated. Any dispute must be resolved in the courts of that state.

14. Changes

When we make material changes we’ll email active users and update the “last updated” date. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
